SOPA…SOPA has been in the news for the past weeks…so what is it all about?…..I will sum it up in just two words POWER…..GREED…simple as that….basically this will ensure censorship of online content is actually legal…now you may think that this doesn’t concern you since you live in <insert cave/country/village here>…well it does…so do we have the power to stop this from being enacted?…..yes i think we do

What do you want hacked?

Alright people…its the festive season…and yes Santa hackers want to give away free headaches to system admins….so its really..reeeaaally simple just add a comment about the company , institution…girl friend’s email…etc you want hacked and tell us why and we will choose the winner next year…

z4ck – A blast from the past

Hello all,

If you are anything like me then i guess you are very much interested in a good book….well fear not…i have one for you and its free…yup…i was traveling in Europe at one time and got bored and looked for any interesting “hacker” books to read. I landed on a book called z4ck which is basically about a hacker who makes the ultimate hacking software that can bypass any security..its fully of good understanding of hacker tech and yeah it has a good story….

Shodan – a hacker’s companion

Hey all,

Don’t know if any of you have been in a position where you needed a network search engine…yes!! a network search engine…well incase you didnt know about it..there is one and its called shodan…been following this project from its early days until it has now fully matured.

So this search engine can really return interesting stuff like banners of gateway devices (do i hear hydras warming up….) so imagine you compromise a gateway server /device for an ISP….yup the rest is all left to your imagination and creativity…beauty of it is that you can run advanced queries where you can filter by location…its really a joy to have in your toolbox.
